De Gelpenberg; a golfing experience!

In Aalden, on more than 60 hectares of Drenthe landscape, located between large heaths, surprising water features, a beautiful rolling landscape and centuries-old juniper trees, lie the beautiful 27 holes of Drenthe Golf Club De Gelpenberg; an 18-hole PAR 72 champion course and a 9-hole PAR 3 course. Rated by Dutch golfers with a place in the top 15 of the Netherlands and as the number 1 in Drenthe.

Who is it for?
We’ve been around for over 50 years. A club with a rich history, that goes with the times, and is completely ready for the golfer of today and the golfer of tomorrow. A golfer with different requirements, questions and expectations than yesterday’s golfer. De Gelpenberg acknowledges and recognises this like no other and responds to it.

Association
De Gelpenberg is a golf club with a real, and close, association life. An association with around 800 members; members who are involved in the ups and downs of the club and, above all, are proud of their beautiful course. A course that is maintained by the green keepers team of Vos Golf en Sport. A course that scores highly in all rankings. A course that is challenging for every type of golfer because of its character and grounds. A course that is regularly selected by the Dutch Golf Federation to organise major national competitions.

Gelpenberg Brasserie
Of course, De Gelpenberg also has its proverbial 19th hole; the clubhouse with Gelpenberg Brasserie inside. On the terrace of the clubhouse, with a fantastic view of the golfcourse, it is good to relax and catch up after a round of golf of 9 or 18 holes. The team of De Gelpenberg Brasserie, led by Robert Jan de Jong, stands for Hospitality with a capital H. Vision
In recent years, developments have been very rapid, keeping up with, and for, the changing golfer. The board and members of De Gelpenberg have an appropriate vision for the future; an optimal mix between cherishing the old that’s right and being open to the new that’s good…

Low threshold to start
No registration fee, a participation of only 1 euro and a competitive membership rate. These are the three elements that have greatly lowered the threshold for membership. And of course, there is also the possibility of an introductory package; an easy way to get acquainted with golf. No strings attached… as it should be.

Golf Academy
Training and education facilities have improved considerably recently; with Golf Academy Gelpenberg, De Gelpenberg has a fantastic partner to optimally facilitate and supervise both experienced and starting golfers.

Business golfer
Of course, De Gelpenberg also has an eye for the business golfer, golf is just like working (or networking) after all. The club has a company membership with participation in our company competition. De Gelpenberg is a golf club that offers more than just a round of golf, it is a real golf experience. De Gelpenberg, 51 years old but younger than ever…!
